1.  Note the date of the storm that caused your roof damage. 

2.  Get a qualified opinion with a reputable roofing company.  Have the roofer determine if you have hail damage.

3.  Call your insurance company and let them know you have hail damage (if found).

4.  An adjuster will then come to your home to meet with the roofing contractor and assess the damage.

5.  After the damage is documented by the adjuster, the insurance company will send you a check for the roof replacement.
